Expressions of interest open now: Free science kits for your library
With support from the Queensland National Science Week Committee, The Edge has produced 13 resource kits for public libraries and Indigenous Knowledge Centres (IKCs) that contain a complete set of materials and instructions for six workshops exploring the science of light.
Each workshop focuses on a different aspect of the science of light and includes full lesson plans, instructions, templates and materials. Each of the 13 resource kits available contains enough materials to run each of the six workshop for 15 participants. That’s free resources to run workshops for 90 members of your community.
The kits are intended to be lending resources, as well as providing resources for in-library activities. It’s your choice - use the kits to suit your community. Once all the materials in the kits have been exhausted, it is the library's or IKC’s responsibility to replace them.
If you are interested in making one of the 13 kits available to your community, please submit your expression of interest by Friday 11 September.
