Storytelling resources

The Storytelling collection has a number of resources available for loan including storytelling kits and extra-large picture books. Storytelling resources explained.

Due to renovations of the Cannon Hill facility loans of storytelling kits from Cannon Hill have been temporarily suspended. No boxes will be accepted at Cannon Hill during renovation. Please keep your returns in your library until further notice or arrange a rotation with another RLQ library. Stay tuned for updates.

Storytelling kits

Kits may include books and activity-based props such as puppets, felt pieces, soft toys, felt boards or percussion instruments. Some kits follow a common theme e.g. Pirates or Christmas. Picture books within the storytelling collection are also available for loan. The YouTube video provides more information on our collections.

Storytelling kits can be found and reserved via the RLQ Catalogue. The YouTube video provides information on how to search and reserve a storytelling kit.

For bulk loans please use the storytelling online form. All resources are suitable for the Under 6 year age group and are available on bulk loan or the request procedure. All loans are for 8 weeks. Feedback regarding the storytelling collection is welcome via .
