Resources  for family historians - Information about accessing the resources of the State Library of Queensland's family history service, plus links to electronic resources and websites that will help genealogists with their research.

Caring for Heritage Collections - A range of information guides on how you can care for and safely store heritage collection items.

Queensland Local Studies Group - This group meets several times a year, in Brisbane and outside the metropolitan area, to share information about all aspects of local studies. The host agency selects the agenda that may include a tour of the library and/or a guest speaker. Minutes of past meetings are available.

Local studies discussion list - Aiding in the efficient management of local studies collections, this list enables all subscribers to communicate about problems faced, and new ways of solving them.

Queensland History - Information on contemporary and retrospective collections for preserving Queensland's history and knowledge.

Year of Outback Tourism (YOOT) - 2019 is designated The Year of Outback Tourism in Queensland. The John Oxley Library collections representing regional Queensland are being featured in social media #outbackQueensland and #YearofOutbackTourismQueensland. Regional Councils in western Queensland are encouraged to contribute content to the 2019 Year of Outback Tourism Flickr Group. See how you can get involved.
